DESCRIPTION:Girls in Manufacturing is a one day hands-on technical experience designed to empower and encourage girls to consider careers in manufacturing! \nDuring this event participants will: \n\nLearn all stages of the manufacturing process\nUse tools and equipment to manufacture a project\nManufacture a project that they can take home\nMeet women leaders in the area who work in manufacturing.\n\nThis event is designed for girls 6-12th grades. \nRegister for the event here. \nDream It Do It Western New York offers equal opportunity programming. While the Girls in Manufacturing program is focused on females the program is open to all genders. Women make up about 47% of the American workforce but only 30% work in manufacturing.
