DESCRIPTION:Girls in Manufacturing is a one day hands-on technical experience designed to empower and encourage girls to consider careers in manufacturing! \nDuring this event participants will: \n\nLearn all stages of the manufacturing process\nUse tools and equipment to manufacture a project\nManufacture a project that they can take home\nMeet women leaders in the area who work in manufacturing.\n\nThis event is designed for girls 6-12th grades. The event will take place at SUNY Niagara’s Welding Lab\, located in Sanborn NY on Saturday\, January 11\, 2025 from 9:00 am -1:00 pm. Parents\, grandparents\, guardians\, mentors or teachers are encouraged to participate with the student(s) they sign up. Lunch will be provided. Students participating get to build a project and take it home with them. Participants also get a t-shirt. Benton Street\, Dunkirk NY\, 14048\, on Friday\, January 24th from 9:00 am -1:00 pm. \nLunch will be provided. \nThis camp is a fun and informative opportunity designed to provide you with content and context pertaining to exciting careers in manufacturing that are right here in our region.
