Senator Young Secures $80,000 in State Funding to Support DIDI Program
Senator Catharine Young, a longtime supporter of Dream It. Do It., secured $80,000 in funding for the DIDI program in the 2017-18 state budget. Senator Young visited with Allegany-Limestone students participating in the FRI@MTI program at the Manufacturing Technology Institute at the Olean campus of Jamestown Community College.
FRI@MTI is funded by the JCC Foundation and Dream It. Do It. Students meet with Xavier Smith, a CNC operator at OSM Olean, for extended hands-on workshops, introducing them to possible careers and making them comfortable with the equipment at MTI@JCC.
