Girls in Manufacturing is a one day hands-on technical experience designed to empower and encourage girls to consider careers in manufacturing!
During this event participants will:
Learn all stages of the manufacturing process
Use tools and equipment to manufacture a project
Manufacture a project that they can take home
Meet women leaders in the area who work in manufacturing.
This event is designed for girls 8-12th grades. The event will take place at the Northland Workforce Training Center on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Parents, grandparents, guardians, mentors or teachers are encouraged to participate with the student(s) they sign up. Students participating will build a project and take it home with them, learn more about the Dream It Do It Advanced Manufacturing program, explore manufacturing career opportunities, and tour the Northland Workforce Training Center. Lunch is provided and participants receive a t-shirt. There is no cost to participate in this event!
