During this event, participants will:
Learn the fundamentals of welding through a fun, hands-on project
Fabricate and weld a metal pumpkin to take home as a one-of-a-kind Halloween decoration
Experience how welding is used to build everything from bridges and buildings to vehicles, medical equipment, and advanced technology
Meet inspiring women who have built successful careers in manufacturing and skilled trades
Explore educational pathways, apprenticeships, certifications, and career opportunities in welding and advanced manufacturing
Gain confidence using real tools and discover the creativity, precision, and teamwork that make manufacturing careers so rewarding
This event is designed for students in grades 8–12 (typically ages 13–18). Parents, grandparents, guardians, mentors, and teachers are encouraged to attend alongside their students and learn more about the exciting opportunities available in today’s manufacturing workforce.
Come ready to strike an arc, spark your creativity, and leave with a handcrafted welded pumpkin…and maybe even a new vision for your future in manufacturing!
