Access Curricula to Support Your Dream It Do It Club

Dream It Do It Western New York has created a variety of unit plan curricula for Dream It Do It Manufacturing Clubs and for utilization by any school that is interested in enhancing STEM based learning. The unit plans have been developed through the collaboration of educators and manufacturers in the region. These unit plans are designed to be hands-on experiences for students. The unit plans are designed to be engaging opportunities that help connect students with the world of manufacturing through hands-on experiences.

3D Printing Unit Curricula

Students will learn about the process that takes place when new consumer products are designed from concept to store shelf and put the process to work.

Boat Building Unit Curricula

Students will learn about design thinking and physics to construct a boat to be paddled by students in the water.

Circuitry Unit Curricula

Students will learn principles of circuitry/ Apply this knowledge to create and improve circuitry related projects/ Explore the manufacturing and career opportunities associated with circuits

Engineering Unit Curricula

Students will refine collaboration and communication skills. Students will be able to identify the parts of the engineering process.

Geneva Timing Mechanism Unit Curricula

Students will learn about basic manual and CNC operation, tooling used and the function of Geneva Timing Mechanisms

Makey Makey – Scratch Unit Curricula

Students will create a video game, design a custom controller for it, and wire it so that the controller is used to play the game.

Pumpkin Toss Unit Curricula

Students will compete in the great pumpkin toss in the fall. They will compete against teams from other schools in the county.

Robotics Unit Curricula

Students will be introduced to robotics and design

Rocketry Unit Curricula

Students will learn about the science of rocketry in order to design, construct, and launch a model rocket.

Rubber Band Powered Car Unit Curricula

Students will learn about the DIDI 500 program, build rubber and powered cars, and compete in the area DIDI 500.
